High Precision AC Power Supply | Ultra‑Stable Programmable AC Source for Calibration & Metrology

Most AC power supplies claim "high precision"Then you look at the datasheet and see ±2% regulation and 3% THD. That's fine for running a light bulb. It's not fine for calibrating a power meter or testing a 24‑bit energy measurement chip. The High Precision AC Power Supply is different. We designed it for people who actually measure the output. Voltage regulation is ±0.5% of setting, frequency stability is ±0.05%, and typical THD sits around 1% at nominal load. You won't find those numbers on a $500 variac. We sell these to national metrology labs, power analyzer manufacturers, and semiconductor test houses. They use them as reference sources, not just general‑purpose power. If your work requires traceable, repeatable AC power, this is the unit you want.

High Precision AC Power Supply

High Precision AC Power Supply Main Features

  • High‑resolution setting – 0.1V voltage steps, 0.1Hz frequency steps via front panel or remote.

  • Dual voltage range – 0‑150V and 0‑300V (L‑N). Switchable without re‑calibration.

  • Output on/off with soft start – No overshoot. The voltage ramps up in about 50ms.

  • Remote programming – RS485 Modbus lets you change voltage, frequency, and read back actual values.

High Precision AC Power Supply

Why Choose ACSOON High Precision AC Power Supply?

  • Tight regulation – Voltage holds to ±0.5% from no load to full load. Frequency holds to ±0.05% over 24 hours.

  • Low distortion – THD under 1.5% from 45Hz to 400Hz. No harmonics messing up your measurements.

  • Remote sense standard – Compensates for lead drop. You get the set voltage at the load, not at the back panel.

  • Can be calibrated – We provide a calibration procedure. Your local lab can re‑calibrate it, no special software needed.

High Precision AC Power Supply Application Areas

  • Calibration laboratories – Use it as a stable source to calibrate power analyzers, energy meters, and data loggers.

  • Semiconductor test – Powering ADCs, power management ICs, and metrology chips during characterization.

  • Research & development – When you're trying to measure 0.1% efficiency differences, the power source can't be the limiting factor.

  • Aerospace instrument test – Many onboard sensors need clean, stable 400Hz power. This unit delivers it.

Our Services

Quality Control
01

Quality Control

  • Every unit calibrated – Against a Keysight 3458A multimeter and a phase‑locked frequency reference. Results printed on a certificate.

  • Long‑term stability test – Unit runs for 24 hours, voltage and frequency logged every hour. Drift must stay under 0.1%.

  • THD measurement – Using an Audio Precision APx525. We keep the report on file.

  • Burn‑in – 8 hours at 80% load, 35°C ambient.

02

R&D Results

  • Customer feedback – A calibration lab asked for better load regulation. We tweaked the feedback loop. Now it holds ±0.3% from 0‑100% load.

  • Thermal drift compensation – Added a temperature sensor on the reference circuit. The software adjusts for ambient changes.

  • Remote sense circuit – First version had oscillation with long cables. Added a small capacitor across the sense inputs. Problem solved.

  • Front panel upgrade – Moved to a 5‑digit display so you can read down to 0.01V. Useful for low‑voltage work.

FAQ

Q1: What's the difference between this and your standard ACSW series?
A: Standard ACF has ±1% voltage regulation and 3% THD. This  model has tighter regulation (±0.5%), lower THD (<1.5%), and comes with a calibration certificate. The control loop is also faster for transient loads.
Q2: Can I use this to calibrate a power analyzer?
A: Yes, that's exactly what it's for. You'll also need a reference standard (like a 0.02% class power meter). This supply provides the stable voltage and frequency. Your reference meter measures it.
Q3: Does it output true RMS voltage?
A: Yes. The set voltage is the true RMS value. The waveform is a pure sine wave, so thermal meters and average‑responding meters will both read correctly.
Q4: What's the stability like at 400Hz?
A: Same as 50Hz. The control loop was designed for the entire 45‑400Hz range. Frequency stability is ±0.05% at any setting.
Q5: Can I get a three‑phase version?
A: Yes. Order ACSW‑330xxx‑. Same precision specs, but three‑phase output with 120° ±0.5° phase accuracy.
