Wide Range AC Power Supply | Programmable 300V 500Hz AC Source for Test & Development

Not every test needs a $20,000 grid simulator. Sometimes you just need a solid AC source that can give you 230V at 50Hz, then switch to 115V at 60Hz, then run a motor at 200Hz for a few minutes. That's what the Wide Range AC Power Supply does. It's a programmable frequency converter, but we kept the interface simple. You turn it on, set your voltage and frequency, and hit output enable. No complex sequences to learn. If you need automation, there's RS485 on the back. But for day‑to‑day bench work, the front panel knobs are all you'll use.We built these for engineers who test products for global markets. One day you're simulating Japanese 100V/60Hz, the next day European 230V/50Hz, and the next day 400Hz for an aviation project. This unit covers all of it.

Wide Range AC Power Supply

Wide Range AC Power Supply Main Features

  • Dual voltage range – Switch between 0‑150V and 0‑300V (L‑N) on the front panel.

  • Output enable with soft start – No voltage spike when you turn on the output. Protects your device.

  • Remote sense – For 3kVA and above, terminals on the rear compensate for voltage drop in long cables.

  • Memory storage – Save up to 10 voltage/frequency/time profiles. Useful for repetitive tests.

Wide Range AC Power Supply

Why Choose ACSOON Wide Range AC Power Supply?

  • One unit covers the world – 0‑300V and 45‑500Hz means you can simulate any mains standard plus avionics and motor drive frequencies.

  • Clean power – THD under 3% from 50Hz to 400Hz. Your device under test gets pure sine wave, not a choppy approximation.

  • Programmable but not annoying – You can store up to 10 settings. Or just turn the knobs. Your choice.

  • Isolated output – Standard isolation transformer. No ground loops, no DC on the line.

Wide Range AC Power Supply Application Areas

  • Product compliance pre‑testing – Run voltage sags, frequency shifts, and nominal tests before paying for a certified lab.

  • Motor and drive development – Test variable frequency drives across their entire speed range without a physical motor.

  • Avionics bench power – 400Hz at 115V for testing radios, transponders, and flight displays.

  • Production functional test – Automate voltage and frequency steps with the remote interface. One test station handles multiple product variants.

Our Services

Quality Control
01

Quality Control

  • Every unit burned in – 4 hours at 80% load, then 1 hour at 100% load. We record the temperature rise.

  • Output waveform captured – Screenshot at 50Hz, 60Hz, and 400Hz. Stored with the serial number.

  • Calibration check – Voltage and frequency measured at 5 points against a calibrated power analyzer.

  • Protection test – We short the output and verify the unit trips within 100ms.

02

R&D Results

  • Learned from customer returns – Early units had a fan that was too loud. Now we use a temperature‑controlled fan with a slower idle speed.

  • Transformer redesign – Switched from a toroid to a split‑bobbin design. Lower leakage inductance, better high‑frequency performance.

  • Front panel tweak – Moved the output enable button away from the voltage knob. Too many people bumped it by accident.

  • Added a lock function – Hold the frequency knob for 3 seconds. Locks all settings. Useful for production environments.

FAQ

Q1: Can I use this to test a 3‑phase motor?
A: Yes, the three‑phase model (ACSW‑330xxx) outputs true three‑phase power with 120° phase shift. Use it to run induction motors, synchronous motors, or drives. Just make sure the motor's voltage and frequency are within the unit’s range.
Q2: What's the difference between this and a variable frequency drive (VFD)?
A: A VFD outputs PWM voltage that looks like a sine wave but has high harmonic content. This unit outputs a true sine wave with THD <3%. That matters for testing equipment with sensitive electronics or for running motors that don't like PWM.
Q3: Can I parallel two units for more power?
A: No, not without external synchronization hardware. If you need more than 30kVA single‑phase or 60kVA three‑phase, we make larger models. Ask sales.
Q4: Does it work with single‑phase input?
A: The single‑phase models (ACSW‑110xxx) run from 220V wall power. The three‑phase models need a three‑phase supply. Don't try to run a three‑phase unit from single‑phase – it will fault.
Q5: How accurate is the frequency?
A: 0.1% of setting. At 400Hz, that's ±0.4Hz. Stable enough for any avionics or motor test we've seen.
