- Product Description
30kVA 400Hz GPU | Compact Ground Power Unit for Regional Aircraft & Military Trainers
The 30kVA 400Hz GPU is a compact solid‑state ground power unit built for regional and training aircraft that don't need a 90kVA behemoth. It's the same clean 400Hz power you'd get from a larger GPU, just sized for smaller jets, turboprops, and military trainers. This is one of our most popular units. Not because it's flashy, but because it works. It fits in small hangars, runs off a standard 400V outlet, and connects to the aircraft without fuss. We've sold these to regional airlines, military flight schools, and FBOs that don't have room for oversized equipment. It just sits in the corner and delivers power when you need it.

30kVA 400Hz GPU Main Features
- Pure sine wave output – THD <2%. Clean enough for sensitive avionics and flight computers.
- 12‑pulse rectifier input – Keeps harmonics low. No expensive input filters needed.
- VFD display – Shows voltage, current, frequency, and fault codes. No cryptic beep patterns.
- Self‑diagnostics – Stores the last 10 faults. Helps maintenance figure out what happened.

Why Choose ACSOON 30kVA 400Hz GPU?
- Right-sized – Not everyone needs 90kVA. This is designed for smaller aircraft, and you don't pay for power you'll never use.
- Solid‑state reliability – IGBT converter, no moving parts in the power section. Less to break.
- Auto voltage compensation – Adjusts output voltage to the aircraft plug. You don't have to think about it.
- Rugged enough – IP54 rated. Rain, dust, ramp debris. It handles the outdoors.
30kVA 400Hz GPU Application Areas
Regional airline line maintenance – CRJ200, ERJ‑145, ATR, Q400. Overnight checks, avionics power, battery charging.
Military flight training bases – T‑6 Texan II, T‑38 Talon, PC‑21. Ground power for avionics and engine start.
Business aviation FBOs – Some smaller jets like Citation and Learjet series run fine on 30kVA.
General aviation hangars – Turboprop singles and twins. Much cheaper than a 90kVA unit.

Our Services

Quality Control
- Every unit load‑tested – 30kVA into a resistive load bank for 2 hours. We don't skip this.
- Output waveform captured – Screenshot from a power analyzer saved for each unit. Available on request.
- Thermal camera scan – Run with covers off at full load. No hot spots allowed.
- Cable continuity check – Output cable assembly hi‑potted and tested before shipping.
R&D Results
Field‑driven design – Early units had bottom air intakes. Ramps are dusty. Moved intakes to the sides with washable filters.
Simplified controls – Removed a touchscreen that wasn't readable in sunlight. Replaced with a VFD and physical buttons.
Cable exit moved – Side exit caused strain when parked close. Moved to the rear. Works better.
Overload tuning – Regional operators asked for more headroom for motor starts. Added 200% for 30 seconds.

Packaging and Transportation
Bolted to a skid – Wrapped in stretch film, strapped to a plywood base. Ready for a truck or container.
Cable reel separate – Shipped in its own box if ordered.
Documentation – Printed quick guide laminated (waterproof), full manual on USB.
Export crating – Wooden crate available for sea freight.
After‑Sales Service
1‑year warranty on the power module.
6‑months on cable and plug (ramp abuse is real).
Email support – usually same day during Asian business hours.
Spare parts stocked in Xi'an, plus consignment .

Qualification Certification
CE – LVD and EMC tested;MIL‑STD‑704F – Third‑party test report available;ISO 9001:2015 – Our Xi'an facility;IP54 – Tested by an external lab.

FAQ |
---
Q1: What aircraft can this 30kVA 400Hz GPU power?
A: Regional jets (CRJ200, ERJ‑145, E170), turboprops (ATR42/72, Q400, Dash 8), military trainers (T‑6, T‑38, PC‑21), and smaller business jets. If an aircraft draws more than 30kVA, the unit will hit its overload limit. Check your aircraft’s ground power specs.
Q2: Is this the same as a 28V DC GPU?
A: No. This is 115V/200V 400Hz AC. Many turboprops and regional jets use 400Hz for avionics. They still need 28V for battery charging – that's a separate unit or our combi model (AC+DC).
Q3: Can I mount this on a trailer instead of a skid?
A: Yes. Order the -T suffix for a towable chassis with pneumatic tires, lights, and a parking brake. Adds about 2 weeks to lead time.
Q4: What’s the lead time?
A: Skid units ship in 4 weeks. We keep a few in stock in Xi'an for urgent orders – ask sales.
Q5: Does it have a cable reel?
A: Optional. Manual crank reel with 25m of cable. Specify when ordering. The standard unit comes with a 10m pigtail and no reel.
