60kVA 400Hz GPU | Reliable Ground Power for Narrow‑Body & Military Aircraft

The 60kVA 400Hz GPU sits right in the middle of our GPU line. It's not the smallest, and it's not the biggest. But for a lot of operators, it's the sweet spot.If you run 737 Classics, A320ceos, or C‑130 Hercules, you know that a 45kVA unit is a little light for a full electrical load on a hot day, and a 90kVA unit is more power than you need – plus it costs more and takes up more space. The 60kVA fits right between. It gives you headroom without waste. We built this unit for the kind of work that happens every day: gate turns, overnight maintenance, cargo loading. It's solid‑state, so there's no motor to fail, no brushes to replace. You plug it in, turn it on, and it delivers clean 400Hz power until you turn it off. That's the job.

60kVA 400Hz GPU Main Features

  • Pure sine wave output – THD under 2% at linear load. Clean enough for any avionics.

  • VFD display with fault logging – Shows voltage, current, frequency, and the last 10 fault codes with timestamps.

  • Self‑diagnostics – The unit runs a check on power‑up. If something's wrong, it tells you on the screen – no guesswork.

  • IP54 enclosure – Sealed against rain, dust, and the kind of spray you get from a jet blast.

Why Choose ACSOON 60kVA 400Hz GPU?

  • No over‑buying – 60kVA covers the vast majority of narrow‑body and military transport needs. You're not paying for 90kVA you'll never use.

  • Real‑world overload – 150% for 60 seconds handles the APU start and hydraulic pump spikes. 200% for 30 seconds handles the worst‑case inrush.

  • 12‑pulse input – Keeps your hangar's power clean. No need for external filters or angry facility managers.

  • Auto compensation – The unit measures voltage at the aircraft plug and adds up to 10V to make up for cable loss. You don't have to guess.

60kVA 400Hz GPU Application Areas

  • Narrow‑body line maintenance – 737‑300/400/500, A319/A320, 757. Overnight checks, avionics updates, battery charging.

  • Military cargo and transports – C‑130 Hercules, C‑27J Spartan. Reliable ground power for mission systems and engine starts.

  • Regional cargo operators – Freighter conversions of 737 and A320 series. Loading and unloading with full electrical power.

  • MRO hangars – When you have a mix of narrow‑body and regional aircraft, one 60kVA unit covers most of them.

Our Services

Quality Control
01

Quality Control

  • Every unit burned in – 60kVA into a load bank for 2 hours, then 90kVA (150%) for 60 seconds. We record everything.

  • Output waveform captured – We save a screenshot from a Fluke 435 for each unit. You can ask for it.

  • Thermal scan – Covers off, full load. We look for hot spots. Any component over 90°C gets investigated.

  • Cable and plug test – Hi‑pot and continuity. The cable assembly is built in‑house, not outsourced.

02

R&D Results

  • Field‑driven upgrade – Early 60kVA units used a single fan. After a customer in Phoenix had overheating issues, we added a second fan with independent control. Problem solved.

  • Simplified the control board – We removed a bunch of capacitors that were failing around year five. Now the board has about 30% fewer parts.

  • Added a manual bypass – If the electronics go down, a wrench on the side lets you bypass to raw rectified DC. Not regulated, but enough for cabin lights and fans.

  • Reinforced the input terminals – Some electricians over‑tightened and cracked the old terminal blocks. New ones are rated for 50Nm.

Packaging and Transportation

Bolted to a plywood skid – Wrapped in stretch film and strapped. You can forklift it right off the truck.

Cable reel separate – If ordered, it comes in its own cardboard box.

Documentation – A laminated quick guide (waterproof) and a USB stick with full manual and schematics.

Export crating – Optional plywood crate for sea freight. We've shipped these to over 30 countries.

04

After‑Sales Service

  • 2‑year warranty on the power module.
  • 6‑months on the output cable and plug (ramp life is hard).
  • Email support – we answer within 24 hours, usually faster.
  • Spare parts in Xi'an, plus consignment stock in Miami and Singapore.

FAQ

Q1: What’s the difference between this 60kVA unit and your 90kVA model?
A: About 30kVA and about 30% less cost. The 60kVA is physically smaller, runs cooler, and draws less input current. If your aircraft doesn’t need 90kVA, buy the 60kVA. If you have 737 MAX or A320neo, those need 90kVA – get the bigger one.
Q2: Can I use this for a 787 or A350?
A: No. Those wide‑bodies need 180kVA or more. This won’t even start their APU. Stick to narrow‑body and military transports.
Q3: Does it come with a cable reel?
A: Not standard. The base unit has a 10m pigtail with a NATO plug. If you need a reel, order the -R option. Manual crank, 25m cable.
Q4: What’s the lead time?
A: 4‑6 weeks. We sometimes have one in stock in Xi’an – ask sales.
Q5: Can I mount this on a trailer?
A: Yes, order the -T option. Adds a towable chassis with pneumatic tires, lights, and a parking brake. About 2 weeks extra.
