- Product Description
Wide‑body aircraft don't mess around. A 787 Dreamliner on the ground with all its systems running – air conditioning, galley, IFE, cargo loading – can pull over 150kVA. A 90kVA unit won't even start the APU on some of these planes. The 180kVA 400Hz GPU is built for the big jets. Same solid‑state technology as our smaller units, but with a transformer the size of a small coffee table and IGBTs that can handle the current. It's not small, and it's not cheap. But if you operate wide‑bodies, you don't have a choice. We've installed these at major hubs in Dubai, Frankfurt, and Atlanta. They run 24/7, year‑round, powering everything from 777 freighters to A380s. They just work.

180kVA 400Hz GPU Main Features
- 12‑pulse input with harmonic filter – Keeps the facility power clean. No flickering lights or tripped breakers.
- Auto voltage compensation – Adjusts for cable drop up to 10V. The aircraft gets the right voltage.
- Fault memory with timestamp – Stores last 20 faults. Useful for diagnosing intermittent issues.
- Dual cooling fans with independent control – If one fan fails, the other runs at full speed. The unit won't overheat.

Why Choose ACSOON 180kVA 400Hz GPU?
- Real wide‑body power – 180kVA continuous. Enough for a fully loaded 787 or A350 on a hot day with the packs on high.
- No weak links – Oversized transformer, heavy‑duty IGBTs, dual cooling fans. Built to run for years without a failure.
- Parallel ready – Two units can be paralleled for 360kVA. Covers the A380 and future wide‑bodies.
- Same simple controls – One button, one dial, one display. Your ramp crew already knows how to use it.
180kVA 400Hz GPU Application Areas
- Wide‑body gates – Primary ground power for B777, B787, A330, A350, A380 at international terminals.
- Cargo terminals – 777 freighters need ground power for the entire loading process. This unit delivers.
- Heavy maintenance hangars – When a 787 is in for C‑check, it needs power for weeks. The 180kVA runs continuously.
- Military airlift bases – C‑5M, C‑17, An‑124. Some military transports spec 180kVA ground power.

Our Services

Quality Control
- Every unit load‑tested – 180kVA for 2 hours, then 270kVA (150%) for 60 seconds. We log the temperatures.
- Output waveform captured – Screenshot at full load. Stored with the serial number.
- Thermal scan at 150% load – Covers off. Any component over 110°C gets replaced.
- Fan failure simulation – We disable one fan and run the unit at full load. The other fan must keep it under 95°C.
R&D Results
- Learned from field – Early 180kVA units had single large fans. When one failed, the unit overheated quickly. Now we use two medium fans with independent control.
- Transformer upgrade – Switched from aluminum to copper windings on the output transformer. Lower losses, smaller size.
- Parallel logic – Added hardware and firmware for paralleling after customers asked for 360kVA capability.
- Input breaker relocation – Moved the main breaker to the front panel after electricians complained about reaching around the back.

CE – LVD and EMC tested externally;MIL‑STD‑704F – Third‑party test report available on request;ISO 9001:2015 – Our Xi'an factory;IP54 – Certified by an independent lab.

FAQ
---
Q1: Can I use a 180kVA GPU on a narrow‑body like a 737?
A: Yes, but it's overkill. The 737 will only draw what it needs. No harm. But you're paying for power you won't use. Our 60kVA or 90kVA units are a better fit.
Q2: Will this run an A380?
A: Yes, but not at full load. The A380 can draw over 250kVA. For an A380 gate, we recommend paralleling two 180kVA units (360kVA total). That gives you headroom.
Q3: What input current does it draw at full load?
A: At 480V three‑phase, about 230A. At 380V, about 290A. You'll need a dedicated feeder. Plan your electrical room accordingly.
Q4: Does it come with a cable reel?
A: Not standard. The base unit has a 15m pigtail with a NATO plug. Order the -R option for a motorized or manual reel with up to 40m cable.
Q5: What's the lead time from Xi'an?
A: Usually 6‑8 weeks. We build these to order because of the paralleling and custom cable options. Ask sales for current availability.
