Product Overview

The 90kVA 400Hz Aircraft GPU is designed as a ground power solution for aircraft maintenance and airport operations where stable 400Hz power is required.

In typical aviation environments, aircraft cannot rely on standard utility power. The system converts three-phase 50Hz/60Hz mains supply into a stable 115V / 120V 400Hz aircraft-grade output, supporting both ground testing and onboard system operation.

It is commonly used at hangars, aprons, maintenance pits, and aircraft manufacturing facilities where continuous and stable external power is required.

Unlike general industrial converters, this system is designed around aviation duty cycles, load behavior during engine start, and long-hour ground operation conditions.

FAQ

Q1: Do I need a separate power source for the heater?
A: No. The heater runs off the input power when the unit is plugged in. No extra connection.

Q2: Can I use this in a cold climate without the heater?
A: Not recommended. Electrolytic capacitors lose capacitance below -10°C. The heater keeps them warm. Without it, the unit may fail to start.

Q3: Is the filter washable?
A: The primary foam filter is washable. The secondary paper filter is not – replace it. We include one spare.

Q4: What's the difference between IP56 and IP54?
A: IP54 is dust‑protected and splashing water. IP56 is dust‑tight and high‑pressure water jets (hose down). This unit can be pressure‑washed from a distance.

Q5: Lead time from Xi'an?
A: 5‑6 weeks. The heater and sealed enclosure are built to order.
