- Product Description
You don't always need 400 amps. A Cessna 172, a Robinson R22, or a homebuilt RV‑12 draws under 100A for engine start and avionics. Dragging a cart‑sized GPU out to the ramp is overkill. The Portable 28V DC GPU is sized for smaller aircraft. It delivers 150A continuous – plenty for any light single or twin. The whole unit weighs about what a carry‑on bag does. One person carries it out, plugs into any wall outlet, connects to the aircraft, and hits the start button. We built this for flight schools, private owners, and small maintenance shops. It's the same 28V DC power as a big GPU, just in a smaller box.

Portable 28V DC GPU Main Features
Adjustable voltage – 22‑32VDC. Set it for 28V (most aircraft) or 25.5V (older 24V systems).
Current limit dial – Turn it down for battery charging, up for engine start.
Short‑circuit proof – Output can be shorted forever. No damage.
Reverse polarity protection – Replaceable internal fuse. Cheap insurance.

Why Choose ACSOON Portable 28V DC GPU?
Carry it yourself – Two handles, light enough for one person. No tow bar, no trailer.
Runs from any outlet – Standard 220V, 15A circuit. No need for three‑phase.
Quiet – No fan below 80A. At full load, a small fan runs but you won't notice.
Safe for aircraft – Adjustable current limit. Turn it down to 10A for battery charging.
Portable 28V DC GPU Application Areas
Flight schools – Daily starts for Cessna, Piper, Diamond, Cirrus. Keeps batteries healthy.
Private hangars – Power up your Bonanza or Mooney for pre‑flight checks.
Helicopter operators – Robinson, Schweizer, Guimbal. Ground power for rotor brake and avionics.
Experimental aircraft – Homebuilts often lack onboard charging. This keeps the battery ready.

Our Services

Quality Control
Every unit load tested – 150A for 1 hour, then 200A for 30 seconds. Thermal camera scan.
Ripple checked – At 80A and 150A. Must stay under 0.2V RMS.
Drop test – One from each batch dropped from bench height. Must still run.
Final inspection – Human checks handles, knobs, and connectors.
R&D Results
Weight reduction – First prototype was too heavy. Switched to a high‑frequency design. Cut weight by 40%.
Handle placement – Original handles on the sides were awkward. Moved to the top. Much better.
Fan noise – Early unit had fan running constantly. Too annoying. Now it only spins when hot.
Customer request – Added a shoulder strap option for walking across ramps.

Packaging and Transportation
Shipped from Xi'an – Cardboard box with foam. Small enough for courier.
Included – Power cord (2m), output cable with plug, printed quick start, spare fuse.

FAQ |
---
Q1: What aircraft can this power?
A: Any 28V aircraft that draws less than 150A continuous. That includes most single‑engine pistons (Cessna 172, Piper Archer), light twins (Beechcraft Baron), and small helicopters (Robinson R22/R44, Schweizer 300). For a King Air or PC‑12, you'll need our 300A model.
Q2: Can I charge the aircraft battery with it?
A: Yes. Set voltage to 28.8V (lead‑acid) or 29.4V (NiCd). Set current limit to 10‑20A. The unit runs in constant‑current mode until the battery reaches set voltage.
Q3: Will it run from 110V?
A: Yes,The ADCW‑28150's input voltage sport customized. On 110V, max output drops to 100A continuous, still fine for most light aircraft.
Q4: How long is the output cable?
A: Standard is 3m. We can do 5m or 10m for an extra charge. Longer cables need thicker wire – let us know.
Q5: Lead time from Xi'an?
A: 2‑3 weeks. We keep a few in stock. Ask sales.
