FAQ

Q1: What is the main advantage of a modular UPS over a traditional tower UPS?
A: Scalability and Serviceability. A modular UPS allows you to increase power capacity by adding modules and enables maintenance without downtime, whereas a traditional unit is a fixed capacity and requires a complete bypass for service.
Q2: Can I mix different power module sizes (e.g., 3kVA and 6kVA) in one chassis?
A: No. For stable current sharing and system control, all power modules in a single chassis must be of the same kVA rating. However, you can use battery modules of different capacities to customize runtime.
Q3: How does the system handle a failing power module?
A: The system controller will detect the fault, signal an alarm, and seamlessly transfer the failing module's load to the remaining healthy modules within the chassis, maintaining power to the critical load.
Q4: Is this suitable for three-phase power applications?
A: This specific system model is designed for single-phase input and output. We offer separate three-phase modular UPS systems for larger three-phase loads.
Q5: What is the typical installation process?
A: It is designed for standard 19" racks. Installation involves mounting the chassis, installing the power and battery modules, connecting input power and output loads, and configuring the system via the LCD panel.
