- Product Description
Not every gate has a pit. Some airports move aircraft around depending on the day. Or you're at a cargo ramp that wasn't designed for 400Hz power in the first place. That's when you need a Towable 400Hz GPU.It's our 90kVA solid‑state GPU bolted to a beefy trailer frame. You hook it up to a tug or a pickup truck, pull it wherever you need power, plug into any available 400V outlet, and connect to the aircraft. When the plane leaves, you tow it to the next spot.We built this for airports that don't have fixed ground power everywhere. Also for cargo handlers and military bases that move equipment around. It's the same reliable 400Hz power as our stationary units, just on wheels.

Towable 400Hz GPU Main Features
- Heavy‑duty axle and tires – Rated for ramp surfaces, potholes, and the occasional curb. No flats yet.
- Cable reel optional – Manual crank or motorized reel with 25m of 400Hz cable. Keeps the ramp tidy.
- Fork pockets – If you don't want to tow it, a forklift can pick it up and move it.
- Weather‑sealed enclosure – IP54. Rain, snow, dust – the unit keeps running.

Why Choose ACSOON Towable 400Hz GPU?
- Take it where you need it – No pit? No problem. Tow it to any stand, any ramp, any hangar.
- Road‑legal – Lights, reflectors, and a parking brake. You can tow it on public roads between facilities.
- Same power as our fixed units – 90kVA, 400Hz, clean output. No performance loss just because it's on wheels.
- Easy to service – Panels open just like the stationary version. No special tools needed.
Towable 400Hz GPU Application Areas
- Cargo terminals – Freighters park at different spots each time. Move the GPU to the aircraft, not the other way around.
- Remote stands – Low‑cost alternative to building pits at every gate. One towable GPU serves multiple spots.
- Military flight lines – Deploy power where the mission needs it. No need to wire the whole ramp.
- Air show and event support – Temporary aircraft parking for static displays. Tow a GPU out for the weekend.

Our Services

Quality Control
Every unit road tested – We tow it around the factory yard for 30 minutes. Check lights, brakes, and tire pressure.
Electrical burn‑in – Same as stationary GPUs: 2 hours at 90kVA, then 135kVA for 60 seconds.
Vibration test – Unit strapped to a shaker table for 1 hour. Simulates towing over rough pavement.
Cable reel check – If ordered, reel extends and retracts 50 times. No jams.
R&D Results
Tire choice – First version had small hard wheels. Too bumpy. Switched to larger pneumatic tires. Much smoother.
Brake design – Original parking brake was a wheel chock. Not good enough. Added a proper surge brake on the axle.
Tongue jack – Customers complained about lifting the tongue by hand. Added a drop‑down jack with a foot pad.
Lighting harness – Early units had exposed wiring. Moved everything into conduit. Lasts longer in rain.

Packaging and Transportation
Shipped from Xi'an – The GPU and trailer come as one assembled unit, tied down to a flatbed shipping frame.
Documentation – Laminated quick guide, full manual on USB, and a set of road transport compliance papers.
Export – Fits in a 20ft container. We can also ship it on a flat rack.
After‑Sales Service
1‑year warranty – Covers the GPU and trailer chassis. Tires are consumable – not covered.
Spare parts (IGBTs, fan, control board, wheel bearings) kept in Xi'an. Ship express.
Email support – We'll help you troubleshoot. Include photos – they help a lot.

Qualification Certification
CE – Electrical components only. Trailer not CE‑certified – it's a simple chassis;MIL‑STD‑704F – Output tested. Report available;ISO 9001:2015 – Our Xi'an assembly.

FAQ |
---
Q1: Do I need a special license to tow this?
A: Depends on your local laws. The GPU weighs under 750kg, so in many places a regular driver's license works. But check with your airport authority. We include a weight certification sticker on the frame.
Q2: Can I tow it behind a regular pickup truck?
A: Yes. The tongue weight is about 50kg. Any vehicle with a 2" ball hitch and a 7‑pin trailer connector can tow it. The GPU doesn't need power from the tow vehicle – it has its own 400Hz engine? No, it's electric, so you still need a grid connection at the destination.
Q3: How long is the input power cable?
A: Standard is 15m of heavy‑duty cable with a 400V industrial plug. You can order a longer cable or a cable reel. Let us know.
Q4: Does it have a built‑in battery for the lights?
A: No. When charging circuit that runs off the GPU's internal power when it's plugged in.
Q5: What's the lead time from Xi'an?
A: 5‑6 weeks. We build the trailer chassis in‑house, but the axle and tires are sourced. Keep a few in stock – ask sales.
