Adjustable DC Bench Power Supply | 30V 10A Lab Power Supply with CC/CV Mode

XI'AN JERRYSTAR INSTRUMENT CO., LTD has been making bench power supplies for nearly fifteen years. The Adjustable DC Bench Power Supply is our most popular model – not because it's fancy, but because it just works. You set the voltage, you set the current limit, and you power your circuit. No glitchy touchscreen, no software that crashes, no waiting for a boot sequence.

We designed this for technicians and engineers who need a reliable tool, not another gadget to troubleshoot.

Adjustable DC Bench Power Supply

Adjustable DC Bench Power Supply Main Features

  • Two voltage ranges – 0‑15V fine adjustment, 0‑30V coarse. Useful for low‑voltage precision work.

  • Three‑digit display – shows set voltage, actual output, or measured current.

  • Output on/off button – so you can set voltage before connecting the load.

  • All metal case – grounded, no plastic creaking, lasts decades.

Adjustable DC Bench Power Supply

Why Choose ACSOON Adjustable DC Bench Power Supply?

  • Real linear regulation – output ripple under 1mV RMS, quiet enough for audio circuits and sensitive sensors.

  • Separate current limit – you dial in the maximum current; the supply switches automatically to CC mode when limit is hit.

  • Over‑current protection that actually works – user‑adjustable trip level, not just a fixed 10A brick wall.

  • No fan noise under 3A – heatsink does the job; fan only spins above 3A or 50°C.

Adjustable DC Bench Power Supply Application Areas

  • Electronics repair shops – powering motherboards, radio receivers, car audio units for diagnostics.

  • University teaching labs – students can’t blow things up because current limit is set low.

  • Battery charging – charge 24V lead‑acid or 6‑cell Li‑Fe packs with constant current then constant voltage.

  • Arduino / Raspberry Pi projects – 30V covers most motor driver and sensor supply needs.

Our Services

Quality Control
01

Quality Control

  • Every unit burned in – 4 hours at 30V / 5A, then 1 hour at 15V / 10A.

  • Ripple measured – each unit’s output is checked with a 100MHz scope; we reject anything above 2mV p‑p.

  • Knob torque test – we spin the potentiometers 1000 cycles to weed out early failure.

  • Calibration sticker – attached to the side with date and tester initials.

02

R&D Results

  • Heatsink redesign – we switched from extruded to bonded‑fin, dropped 10°C at full load.

  • Current limit response – improved from 50ms to 15ms by adding a dedicated comparator IC.

  • Transformer shielding – added a copper band to reduce stray magnetic field (helps when working near oscilloscopes).

  • User feedback – moved the output terminals to the front after dozens of repair techs complained about rear‑mounted banana jacks.

Packaging and Transportation

  • Foam‑lined cardboard box – survives courier drops from 80cm (tested).

  • Included accessories – power cord, two test leads (banana to alligator clip), printed quick start guide.

  • Shipping weight – 8.5 kg in box.

  • Bulk packing – 4 units per carton for resellers.

04

After‑Sales Service

  • 2‑year return‑to‑base warranty.

  • Spare parts (knobs, fan, transformer) available from our online store.

  • Email support: we answer within 24 hours, usually same day if you’re in an Asian time zone.

FAQ

Q1: Is this a linear or switching power supply?
A: Linear. It uses a heavy 50/60Hz transformer and pass transistors. That means it’s heavier and less efficient than a switcher, but the output is much cleaner (under 1mV ripple). Good for audio and RF work.
Q2: Can I charge a 24V car battery?
A: Yes, but you need to set current limit to the battery’s recommended charge rate (e.g., 2‑5A for a typical 24V battery). The supply will run in constant current mode until the battery voltage reaches your set voltage, then switch to constant voltage. It works fine for lead‑acid and LiFePO4.
Q3: What happens if I short the output?
A: The supply will go into constant current mode at your set current limit. It’s short‑circuit proof indefinitely. No damage.
Q4: The fan is noisy at 8‑10A – is that normal?
A: Yes. At full 10A output, the pass transistors dissipate about 50‑100W depending on output voltage. The fan is necessary. If it bothers you, use a lower current or buy a switching bench supply (our ADC‑S series).
Q5: Does it have remote sensing?
A: No, not on this model. For remote sensing (to compensate for voltage drop in long test leads), see our ADC‑RS series (same specs, adds sense terminals, about $40 more).
